Did you catch the latest episode last night?

Now, you know I love Fiona - as far as I'm concerned, her character is pretty much "perfection."  But what are we going to do about Carla?

I'm all for strong, capable women (a la Fiona) but Carla's another story.  She's so totally arrogant and nasty, I want to kick her ass  send her away, myself.

But how about her look?  Dissecting it from a style perspective it becomes quite fascinating.  For instance, the makeup on Carla: the lipstick liner is harsh and the eyes are quite dark and smoky - definitely not a normal daytime look.  That alone makes her look mean (that and the fact that she rarely smiles.)   And while they dress her in semi-sexy ensembles, the clothes are not particularly memorable.  Certainly unlike Fiona's.

Ah yes, our Fiona.  The woman who can hold her own with anyone, and what do they do?  They put this gun-loving spitfire of a woman in a sweet little sun dress - and molotov cocktails in each hand!  You can't help but love the irony!  Plus her makeup is soft, very subtle and natural looking.  Why if you didn't know any better you'd think she was just another pretty young woman enjoying the scene in Miami.
(Until you caught sight of the guns, of course.)

Hm,  so how does that translate to real life - if at all?  Maybe it doesn't.  Or maybe the moral is, if you really are "hell on wheels," don't look the part.  Then they'll never see it coming...
