Thursday posts are hard for me to write.  Why? Because there are so many great style sources out there that it's hard to choose the one I want to highlight.  But for today's pick, I've gone with a book - a book that a friend told me I had to check out.

I'm a sucker for the Napa-Sonoma area, who isn't?  The natural beauty of the region is breathtaking; and add to that the wonderful architecture of the wineries and homes, and the result is nothing short of movie set perfection.  It has been described as "a region where lifestyle marries landscape."

Diane Dorrans Saeks is a San Francisco based author, who specializes in interior design, architecture and gardens.  And with this book, California Wine Country, she takes the reader on a tour of more that 25 homes - all celebrating the casually luxurious Wine Country lifestyle.

With gorgeous photographs taken by Alan Weintraub, you can lose yourself in reverie: pour yourself a lovely glass of wine, curl up and spend the afternoon in the sun dappled romance of northern California.
