I love yellow in home decor.  I have friends that absolutely hate it; a fact that I admit, I just don't get.  How can you not love yellow?  It's the color of the sun - of gold - of all things golden.  At least, that's the way I look at it.

And here's a guest room that just makes me smile.  It's so delightfully warm, and cozy, and inviting.  How could you NOT love it?

And besides the sunny yellow, the designer has added books (always a good thing) and live plants.  It's perfection!











The designer of this charming guest room is Jeffrey Bilhuber, who has a new decorating book out: Defining Luxury.

I love what he said about this room,  specifically the color scheme, "Yellow is a deeply optimistic color."
