Marvelous Matt

Sometimes when a person's "right under your nose," or in this case someone you see on a daily basis, you start to take for granted certain things about them.  Like the fact that they ALWAYS look fabulous - ALWAYS are immaculately groomed - ALWAYS wear handsome, perfectly fitting attire.

Well, I plead guilty.  Guilty to overlooking a man that fits the description above.  And that man?  The impeccable Mr. Lauer.

We're not the first to choose Matt Lauer as best dressed.  No, he's received the honor for a number of years now.  And all you have to do is turn on The Today Show to see why.  With Matt,  you're instantly reminded how beautiful men look in well tailored suits.  How there's nothing stuffy, or (heaven forbid) old fashioned looking, about a man in grown-up  clothes, with grown-up accessories.  No, rather than being stale or boring, Matt's image is one of authority, good taste and dare I say power.

That's right - power.  Clothes are powerful; and when a man is dressed in a rich, dark, well fitted suit, it's a very powerful image (not to mention the fact that most women find it sexy as all-get-out.)  Remember the heat Dick Cheney took for wearing the big down parka at the international ceremony, instead of a beautifully tailored topcoat - as the rest of the men were wearing?  Well, with apologies to Mr. Cheney - not a good look.

But here's Matt - decide for yourself:

Great example of being put together without being overly formal! I wonder if he picks his clothes himself?! LOL

I love how a man looks when dressed like this, thanks for the eye candy!

      Hi Catherine,

I think I've actually heard him say that he does choose his wardrobe. I know in the past when he's been criticized for wearing brown shoes with a navy blue suit; he's been exasperated and gave the reply: "Think Ralph Lauren, folks!"

So, with that kind of remark, I'd say he definitely has an eye for fashion and knows what's going on.

Hooray for him! Gotta love a man that cares enough to know about it - but never seems overly concerned.
