Classic Vignette
Already the middle of the week, and time for Home Decor Thoughts. (My how the days do fly!)
Instead of highlighting a room today, I've chosen a foyer - the most stunning foyer I think I've ever seen. It's a perfect vignette of the classic and traditional - the old and new.
Note the gorgeous marble floor with the ribbon mosaic pattern. And the neo-classic stone console - fabulous! But what really sold me on this space, was the mirror. I love mirrors (yeah, I'm a sucker for the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles - but then who isn't?) The scale alone is breathtaking. And check out the detailing: the mirror bevels are carried into the grand wood frame. My heart beats a little faster, just taking in the beauty.
