She Sings, She Acts, She's Spectacular
There are some women that just seem to get better and better with age - and we think today's pick, for our They Get It segment, fits the bill: the radiant, ever youthful, Diahann Carroll.
Everyone knows about Ms. Carroll's enormous talents: acting and singing in films and on Broadway - she won a Tony for the Richard Rogers' musical No Strings. And for her role in the groundbreaking TV show Julia, she won a Golden Globe. Since, Julia, she's made countless television appearances (who could forget her vampy turn in Dynasty with the spectacularly over-the-top 80's costumes) and gone back to the stage as Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard - another wonderful, outrageous character.
But today, we're focused on Diahann Carroll's style - her always beautifully turned out look. She radiates elegance and sophistication. And now in her 70's, she's still every bit the glamour girl she was in her younger days.

Even the famously supercilious (and dearly departed) Mr. Blackwell, pronounced Diahann Carroll as one of the "all-time best-dressed women." We wholeheartedly agree.
