Private Tuscany

For this Thursday's Style Source Favorite, I pulled one of my  favorite books from the library:  Private Tuscany by Simon McBride and Elizabeth Helman Minchilli.

If you're into beautiful design books, you're probably familiar with both author's names.  Mr. McBride has been photographing interiors and gardens for a couple decades; and Ms. Minchilli has written for Architectural Digest and Elle Decor, plus authored other design books.

As you would expect, Private Tuscany is filled with gorgeous photos; but what I really like is the way they've divided the book into sections.  The first deals with what they call Rustic Simplicity.  Then the book moves on to Grand Proportions, and the third section is all about Classic Elegance.  The final part is called Modern Clarity, and highlights the more minimal interiors.

If you love all things Tuscan, you will thoroughly enjoy this book.  And with the holidays coming up, consider it a fabulous gift for anyone who is interested in Italian style - or just loves great looking coffee table books.
