So, here we are, our first Monday of the new year.  There's just something about a new year that makes you want to shake things up a bit - clean house - venture in new directions.

Well, we're not going too wild.  No, but we're mixing up our Savvy Style categories a bit.  Since the blog began, Monday's have been dedicated to What's Making Me Crazy.  It's a fun segment; after all, who doesn't like the chance to rant and rave a bit?  But there are Monday's when absolutely nothing is making us crazy.  And instead of trying to gin up some righteous anger over whatever - which is positively no fun; we decided to add a second category for Mondays: What's New.

What's New will cover what's happening at Bella Figura USA, what's catching our attention in style, or just a new tale to tell of entertaining events.  (A caveat: we think they're entertaining, and we hope you will too!)

So for this first Monday of 2009, our What's New topic is our Winter Sale going on now.  This is a doozy!  Almost everything in our Holiday Department is on sale, with some items up to 35% off.  And be assured, 35% off is a WHOPPER of a sale here.

But why, you ask?  Some of the big boys have sales for 50 - 60 - even (gasp) 70% off?  And you're touting a measly 35%?  What gives?

Ah, so glad you asked!  It's very simple, really.  We don't put an original retail price on our merchandise that is a gazillion times over what we bought it for!  You see, while we'll never be confused with a discounter, we stongly believe in value.  After all, what's the point if you're acquiring something delectable, but you're paying far more than you should be for it?  That makes no sense to us.  In fact, we think it's rather insulting to charge clients outrageous amounts if they're not receiving corresponding value.  It lacks integrity - and ultimately, it's just bad business.  So, that's why for us - 35% is HUGE.
