I was hooked the moment this video started playing.  A "lost" TV fashion show - the video creator knows that it was a New York broadcast, from sometime in the 50s - and not much more.

But, oh my - all the gowns, the furs, the jewelry.  And when the price of a sable jacket is given in the first few minutes; well, let's just say that it was VERY expensive for then.  So, lawdy knows what it would go for now.

And the models are notable in that, as expected, they are all thin, beautiful and elegant; but they are women - not the child models you often see today.  They look age appropriate for the gowns they're modeling.

And the clothes themselves - some great silhouettes.  And seeing the dresses is a great reminder that classic styles always come back.
