The Last of the Red Hot Lovers

With Valentine's Day on Saturday, I wanted our Home Decor Thoughts to look at hot decor - red hot decor - red hot rooms!

But what does hot mean?  After all, like beauty, it's in the eye of the beholder.  So, too narrow the definition down, I decided to look at red rooms - gorgeous, hot red rooms.

But reality crept in quickly.  Do you know how hard it is to create a red room?  Correction: it's easy to create a red room.  What I meant was, do you know how hard it is to create a good looking red room?

Obviously, extremely difficult; because when I started looking around, many of the rooms I saw were wretched.  And it makes sense: there are so many shades of red;  choosing the right one can be tricky.  And then, you have to contend with lighting (or lack thereof,) furnishings, accents, etc.

So I settled on four red bedrooms.  And here's the good news: they're all in hotels (well, one's actually in a castle) so you can book them for your own stay.   After all, it's never too early to start thinking of a romantic getaway for next year!
