Can Houses Be Sexy? This Santa Monica Beauty Gets My Vote
Wednesday - time for Home Decor Thoughts, and I'll admit it upfront, when I saw this video, I experienced an intense flash of house envy.
Here's the deal: I have a thing for houses - not just any old houses - but rich, sun filled, bring the outdoors in type houses.
They can be large or small - contemporary, traditional, Mediterranean, whatever - but they have to have certain characteristics: 1) intriguing, thoughtful architecture, 2) be complimentary to the native surroundings, 3) be open with great flow (in other words - no tiny, chopped up rooms,) and 4) have beautiful detailing.
Now's the time I should also admit something else: I'm not in love with my own house. Even after a way too expensive addition, it's not me, and never will be. Sigh...
But this video highlights a gorgeous custom home in the hills of Santa Monica. It has stunning architecture - stunning interiors. And my desire for bringing the outdoors in - oh yeah. Wait 'till you see the glass sliders!
So, can houses be sexy? Tell me what you think about this one.
