I Love the Smell of Napalm in the Morning
Yee haw! Nothing like a good fight to get the blood flowing and the energy up on a Monday morning!
But why I am I so enthusiastic and eager to rumble at the start of a fairly standard workweek?
I have seen the future - and it is GOOD! OK, sorry, I'll stop the whackiness and tell the story.
Saturday night I'm out to dinner at a Japanese restaurant, sitting at a "Hibachi grill table." You know the type: large - so eight to twelve people can all sit around the same grill.
Two nice looking young men come in and sit next to me. The first thing I notice is their attire - nice trousers and jackets - casual enough to be appropriate for the restaurant, but very smart and sharp looking. Definitely a cut above most of the other diners. Hm, and these are young men in an age group that usually scores fairly low in the nattily dressed arena.
A conversation ensues. Ah, not only sharp dressers, but sharp minds! Turns out they are MBA students at Georgetown - young men who have already been in the work world, have already experienced success - and are now preparing themselves to become the future business leaders of this country.
Their enthusiasm, integrity, and spirit was compelling and contagious: right the wrongs - fight the good fight! And god bless 'em: look snazzy while you're doing it!
I have seen the future - and it is good.
