Shakespeare in the Garden

"Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?"  (from William Shakespeare's Sonnet 18)

Well, I don't know about where you live, but a current summer day in my neck of the woods is hot and steamy, and pretty darn miserable.  But there's nothing miserable about today's Style Source Fave selection.

Shakespeare in the Garden - I love the title.

A gardening book (natch), by renowned photographer Mick Hales, this lovely book is filled with gorgeous photos of Shakespeare themed gardens.

It contains photos of not only Shakespeare's gardens at his home on Stratford-on-Avon, but thirteen more gardens throughout England, Canada and the US.

And along with the photos there are excerpts from Shakespeare's verse, paying homage to gardens and nature, that are woven into each story.

Now, this is a good way to spend a summer's day - inside, cool and comfortable, getting inspired by a beautiful book!
