Hot August Night (thank you Neil Diamond) and hot August days.  We are definitely in the midst of hot, steamy weather here, as is much of the country.

So, viewing a fall clothes collection might not be your idea of a way to cool down during this heat; but as sweltering as it is right now, fall is just around the corner.

And when it comes to designers, there are always certain collections that I like and certain collections that I routinely don't like.  But always on my list of favorites - Valentino.

Ah yes, Valentino - creator of rich, exquisite attire.  And now with Mr. Valentino handing over the design reins to Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli, we have another collection of lovely clothes.

For your pleasure, a video of Valentino's 2009 Ready To Wear collection.  The collection has some of the most gorgeous dresses I've seen: simple and beautiful.  All in all, watching gorgeous clothes come down a runway isn't a bad way to spend a few minutes of a hot summer day.
